Need an engine for the TJ
« on: November 27, 2014, 08:26:01 PM »

Managed to hydro lock the TJ so need a 4.0 engine for an auto box. It looks like any engine upto the introduction of the coil packs will work, is tis correct?
Have not stripped the engine yet but it sounds like a steam engine and water pours from the back near the fire wall.

I have a coil pack block in my jeep. The dizzy changes over without an issue. Its been years but i did have to drill and tap some bolts for the alternator mount. The bosses were cast in the block but they were blank.

I have a late block, early head and fancy intake that all bolted together without .

Its also a stroker with a bored throttle body and high lift cam. It runs well and just passed the smog test at the mot without an issue.
