Swapping drive shafts on a CJ
« on: September 17, 2017, 06:52:41 PM »

Is it possible to swap drive  shafts from front to back?

Obviously they are different sizes but now different gearbox is in it sits 4" further back and wondered if the 2 shafts can be swapped over as one 4" longer with the other smaller???

UJ'S are same but the diameter of the rear prop is considerably bigger than the front so you might come into issues with clearance at full compression

Cheers guys having looked at it it's not going to be feasible due to the layout and was a spur of the moment question when I had forgotten that in all cases related to my jeep it will involve spending more cash on new items!
