As subject, noticed yesterday that my left indicator has stopped working. No click noise, no light on the dash. The right side works fine still, and the indicators flash with alarm activation so I know the bulbs and wiring are good.
The switch still feels right (positive click as you switch it) but my first port of call is likely going to be that.
Has anyone heard of this before on an 02 Grand Cherokee?

Additional question: has anyone got a wiring diagram for the above car or a link to download one? I'm struggling to find one via Google.

bet its the switch.

It’s not the switch. Just look it apart and used a wire to connect the pins together on the multi plug. Can get right and hazard to come on but not left.
EDIT to add: Thanks for the link to the wiring diagram! :)

the relay is the usual culprit. Gets dry joints on the PCB. you can take it apart and repair it.

:imwitstupid:
alarm prob uses the hazard relay which is separate to the indicator relay IIRC. Need small hands to get at it, its above the fuse board behind the dash about level with the ignition key

I believe left right and hazard use the ‘combined flasher module’. Was planning on taking it apart tomorrow any seeing if I could find the problem but the bastard started working again on the way home tonight. Part of me is pleased but the other part is annoyed that I expect it will fail again at some inconvenient time.
-
yep, mine used to do that, ya got a dry joint in the relay, 2 min fix, lots of swearing getting the relay out & in again
-
Interesting, thanks. By relay I assume you mean the combined flasher module? Any clues as to where it is?
