Title: TJ snorkel fitting?
Post by: darcar on October 11, 2017, 08:20:01 PM
Hi I'm fitting a snorkel to my 4 lt 2001 tj,
The only instructions I've found on the web are for left hand drive Wrangler. Mine was a cheap eBay buy,  no instructions or templates came with it!!

Although though it's fairly straightforward, I've removed the empty battery tray on the drivers side, & cut the hole for the snorkel to fit. Then modified the air box,
But
Under the tray there's a black plastic box with a thin pipe coming out of it. Does anyone know what this box is for? & what does it do?
Thanks Darren.

Probably vacuum reservoir. If it's in the way you can move it to wherever you like.
