Sjeezus ..... had to look for this thread 4 pages deep  :icon_eek:

Changed brake pads on all 4 corners on the WK.  Not been done in my ownership so approx 3 years. Nearside front bottom floating pin rusted/seized solid  :011:

What should be a simple spannering job still turned out to be a pig of of job if you're sitting on the tarmac.......  :icon_rolleyes:

Replaced the transfer end CV on the front prop, front wheel bearings and axle end UJ on rear prop this week...

Jeep is much quieter, well it was until the new CV joint imploded on a dual carriageway at [the speed limit, honest].
Replacement 'better brand' part on the way, but for anyone fitting one if the seal seems a poor fit don't bother and get it replaced - I recon a poor seal caused the grease to spin out which then caused the joint to fail.

a few weeks back i went down to swansea and bought this home

its a 98 chevy blazer 4.3 v6 bought cheaply as a non runner owner was convinced  it was head gasket but with 11 months mot and a set of new tyres it was worth a 400 quid gamble very low miles too

Are you stripping it and using the engine in something 'flatfender' or getting it going and punting it out?

Good find :icon_super:
