TJ immobiliser

Hi has any one got an ECU to fit my TJ as the immobiliser is doing my head in. I've been told that you can get one without the immobiliser programmed in it ?  , I think they are available in the states, but cant find an address any help appreciated before I torch the dam thing.  :icon_sad: :icon_sad: :icon_sad:

I think I'm right in saying that all European TJ's had an immobiliser built in too them, US models didn't always have them.

You can send your ECU to a company in the states that will remove the immobiliser from the ECU, quick turn around as well.

Had same problem ECU on my 97 TJ, found a place in FloridaGot one,Vin programmed with mileage + Warranty.plug & play.Its been in since November 2014 with no problems. Just put this number 56041312 in Ebay it should come up.hope this helps.

Well I think I've found the problem. the immobiliser module plug has been rubbing against the nylon steering column support, so when you push the steering wheel forward the plug was moving slightly and causing an intermittent fault, solution move the black immobiliser box up by about 6mm, it all seem to work ok now. pic to show the bottom connecter of the immobiliser

I also have a TJ with issues around electrics... not starting, changed cps, coilpack etc still not starting, now have immobilizer light flashing, which wasn't happening initially until someone told me to take ecu out and check it for burn marks ?
