RB3/ RB4 aux-in
« on: December 22, 2017, 11:20:02 PM »

I really want a USB player, or at least one analogue AUX-in option (no FM transmitter!) in my WG. Can someone tell you an exact type that works with the original RB3 / RB4 stereo 10pins CD port?
Does anyone use this?

That's all right, but I want to keep my stock RB3 stereo.
It's a good stuff with Cd and Nav. :-)
I would like AUXIN instead of the CD changer.
Is there nothing to use with it?

I got something from the US that works quite well, I run it through a 2001 RBP stereo. I think I googled "WJ grand cherokee aux in adaptor". I'll see if I can find the company in my emails.

Here's the website I got it from http://enfigcarstereo.com/, they were very helpful by email as well. I'm looking to change the head unit so I can have DAB soon.

I don't have the details to hand, but I used to have a device which would connect between the aerial and the radio, and had an audio input.  Whilst it used the radio, it was not an FM transmitter, and the player (iPod in my case) was installed and controlled from the dash or wherever it was mounted.

I think I threw it out in June :(

Yes, it may just be the solution.
When you turn it on, this will work and you hear it when you turn off the radio?

Do you remember where you threw it?  :icon_biggrin:

I asked him, but I did not get an answer yet.
Unfortunately, all products on this site are "NOT compatible with factory navigation radio (RB1 or RB4)"  :017:

That's a shame. I'd be tempted to wait for an email back as I got a lot more information from their emails than their website.
