Title: Painting interior panels, what and how!?
Post by: pat1987uk on November 18, 2017, 01:48:07 PM
Hi everyone,

Has anyone painted any interior plastic panelling in their Jeep before? Wondering what prep and paint to do/use?

I’ve imported YJ half doors from the US but the door cards are the wrong colour, want to go from grey to spice.

Any advice on products and techniques will be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Patrick

Not sure about cleaning it wipe with meths maybe?

There are plastic primers that help adherance of the top coat. I know Halfords do one. I'm not sure how good it is but their standard primer is pretty good. After that whatever topcoat you can get in a suitable colour.

Others may know better

EDIT: Paint code for interior spice colour is LTB
