Project Get V8 ZJ on the Road

Well started to try and sort the V8
Sorted the rear lights by removing the Gay ones and re-fitting normal jeep ones


then started looking at the sills


but couldn't find them   :banghead:



your not suposted to see wiring loom through the floor



will be adding new metal in the week :)

it's a US import 5.2 V8 lefty
there rare as rocking hores shit over here. only came in 2.5 TD and 4 l 6cly over here.
was owned by Wilo and then Buber and now me

possibly not the most historically important motor on the planet but always wanted a V8 ZJ.
ANd RED was never an option in Europe

Did my ZJ cills with 100x100x3mm
Big and heavy but that size is needed to fill the gap.....

some more work on the V8
Found some metal to weld to  :greggmo:



having to lift the carpet and the wiring loom out of the way



having to go with 120x120mm box section  as to put back the missing metal  :banghead: :banghead:

Yes I think mine were that and not 100 as I said.
When I went to pick the steel they brought it overhead on a crane in one long length....I thought shit that's large who's that for.....????.
Oops that's for me......lowered onto the monkey metal ZJ bars and a slow ride home......

getting the steel sorted. but saw blade naked so didn't get to welding  :banghead: :banghead:
taking a wile due to all the missing steel the tin worms ate.

Had to make some out rigger panels as well. Do to the fact the front out rigger were shot
