Here's a good reason for the modification

on the Left is the WJ calliper and the Right ZJ one
Don't who at Jeep thought the TJ calliper was ok to stop a ZJ  :greggmo: :greggmo:

You might notice more pedal travel but you'll love the stopping power if you stamp on it

Above the axle tube squashed between the diff and the coil spring. Design it super strong then over build it some more. Put a couple of options in for mounting holes and don't make the mount point too close to the axle tube (in height terms) because it will hit the diff when you flex.

Did I say over-build it?  :003:

i've shortened the original panhard bar with the diff bend in it so hinting the diff shouldn't  be a problem   :greggmo: :hysterical:

you might want to grind out and reweld the panhard bracket then do a cap weld over the top. At the moment it doesnt give confidence in the weld strength view

Keep an eye on it for movement and cracks in the welds - it's amazing how much force it takes. I ended up with the rear plate being an extra big piece of 8mm plate I had professionally welded to the diff housing, tube and rest of my bracket after breaking two previous versions

The ZJ did not have enough electricary so as the air con as been US for a long time. So using space for BIG 220A alternator from a BMW X5
got this for £40

Mounting it hear   :icon_biggrin:

still to finish off the mount but think it will work well
